This entire zone is remote and spectacular. The article failed to mention the lighthouse at Corrales. There is a rewarding 20 minute hike that takes you to a beautiful vista with the well preserved lighthouse with a quaint beach below.

I love the Rinconcito Hotel and the couple that owns it. I also like to get away to a very rustic eo-lodge on outskirts Villa Del Mar that has no electricity or hot water but gives tyou candles and flashlites and a few solar light for the nights fullmof stars from it’s cliffside location. The waves boom at night and there is a basic trail down to the beach below.A short walk south takes you to the staircase of El Cielito that has a nice ocean view restaurant and an infinity pool for guests. Tehua is a great bay for swimming once you get past the reef.

I agree with John, Rinconcito is a great place, we’ve been going down there for 16 years, it’s definitely grown but the beaches are still the same, great owners and staff also.

Hotel El Rinconcito is a much friendlier option with excellent food in Mayto IMO. Also, the Vallarta Botanical Garden is another jewel of Cabo Corrientes

I have been visiting this area for 30 years, spending time with wonderful friends in Las Juntas y Los Veranos. Never have they mentioned the places written about here. The long stretches of beaches are fantastic. I’ve only been to El Tuito and even then we did not really spend time looking about the town. Perhaps in my next visit I will make a point of exploring these new areas!
