I would agree. I can verify the extremely poor condition of Highway 200 from Puerto Vallarta south to Las Juntas y Los Veranos which I drive several times every year. The road is concrete for several miles south before turning to asphalt and rarely is the roadway ever in excellent condition. Potholes are numerous and locals stand In the roadway putting sand into them as a request for tips from drivers. And also, there are areas where large patches of the pavement are in bad condition. Finally, the highway in this region almost never has a simple yellow line painted in the middle or other lines to indicate the edge of the roadway. And is some areas, tree trunks and rocks protrude onto the highway where motorists not watching carefully could seriously damage their cars. While I can’t speak for all highways in Jalisco, this portion of Highway 200 is in great need of repair!
