I’m going to be more optimistic, looking at the long term. I agree that many risks will be realized. But when they are it will be the President who must fix them. I believe the President is willing to allow the process to go forward so that everyone can see if it causes problems. And if she does let this happen, the same people who wanted this will then be more likely to allow her to adjust the process going forward, using her two-third majority if needed and that would be impossible if she tried to undo what has already happened at this time

It appears to me that Mexico has devolved back to a one party state under Morena, opening the doors to the same mass corruption and impunity that it has when the PRI was the one party. It is hard to see how this can end well for the country.

The whole judiciary election is just a simulation so that “morena” can now own the judges keep accumulating power.
